ABOUT THE FILM

Prohibition still has a profound impact on distilling today. Laws still prevent distilleries from opening in cities around the United States. Unique coffees and beers have been booming, but what about spirits? Only recently have spirits began to enter the scene. Ten years ago, there were roughly 50 craft distilleries in the United States. Today there are over 1,000.

Distilled Film seeks to highlight the distilleries that are changing the game, and tell their stories. What are their origins? What are their unique characteristics? What nodes and flavor profiles are they best known for? What is the distilling community in the United States like? Where do they see the industry heading?

Join us as we seek answers in this adventure together.

Directed by Kyle Johnston and Justin Gamboa of KJ Creative, the filmmakers have been putting together short-form features of some of the various distilleries they have captured along the way.
